Version 2.3 update

Version 2.3 is another great update to Synck with some helpful features added, both for Synck administrators.

*Agent Version: 2.3.0.xxx

New Features:

  • User Groups
    • You can organize end users into User Groups to help you manage accounts. When you create a User Group, you select accounts that are included in the group, so that the group acts as a single entity within Synck.

For example, when creating Team Shares, you can add one single User Group to the Team Share, rather than selecting and managing separate accounts. Additionally, end users can send individual share links to entire User Groups instead of listing separate accounts as recipients. Ultimately, this feature helps you manage groups of users within one central location.

    • Time-sensitive passwords for welcome emails with options:
Expires: Never, 6 hrs, 12 hrs, 24 hrs
  • Enhancements
    • Refactored and simplified the subscription mgmt. tree for Team Shares and Groups
    • Added searchability to various places in Web UI; now you can search:
      • Activity Log, Accounts, Backups, Guests, Team Shares, and Groups!
    • Improved visibility of the 16×16 lock overlay
    • Removed the Team Share subscription type buttons (All, None, Future, Web)
    • Improved PDF report formatting with more cell padding
    • API documentation

    • Resolved a shell extension runtime error resulting in a crash/hang
    • Fixed a UI issue where an Account would be listed twice under Share
    • Fixed a collision edge case where the original file will be removed after user selects “rename local version”
    • Resolved a Privacy Mode issue where you receive a 403 error when moving account(s) to child organization(s) via API v1
    • We will now update mobile OS version and last_login on the machine table on subsequent logins, too
    • Fixed an issue where, with very numerous reporting parameters specified, a report might show “Not Available”
    • Addressed an issue where one could specify 0 space quota via API v1
    • Resolved a case-sensitivity issue with file renames on the Web
    • Fixed the OSX Agent branding issue where the agent and finder extension got a null tool name when querying the branding
    • Fixed the OSX Agent issue where collisions would be created for all files, when merging the Synced Folder
    • Auto-locking policy will now push to agent after settings changed
    • Newly created reports, accessed via web, will no longer throw a 500 error
    • Reports on “Machine Health” and a second option, accessed via web, will no longer throw a 500 error
